“We were supposed to do the boysbygirls shoot but Lucho was sick and Edu came alone, so we did something anyways, I loved the light through the shutters and we played with his androgynous look and light/shadow dichotomies. Boy and girl, black and white. Light and shadow. I love that photoshoot because I achieved like a new level or at least I feel that inside, concerning my photowork. I assumed the erotic content on my pictures, I before didn’t want to see, or assume. They were taken with my D7000, too, so fast, but so great. I don’t even have so many outtakes… It’s one of my favourite photoshoots. I even have one of those as a wallpaper.” - Belen Asad
I love this image for loads of the same reasons Belen spoke about in her blurb above; the andro quality is compelling to look at, and the shadows in this entire series are divine.
